Over 800 Afghan refugee families have returned to Afghanistan from Iran and Pakistan. The High Commission for Addressing Migrants’ Issues reported that a total of 879 families, comprising 3,678 individuals, were forcibly repatriated.
The returnees crossed through several key border routes, including Torkham-Nangarhar, Spin Boldak-Kandahar, Islam Qala-Herat, Abrisham-Nimroz, Angor-Ade-Paktika, and Bahramcha-Haland provinces.
On their return, the migrants received essential services from local committees. Following registration and biometric verification, they were provided with SIM cards and financial assistance. Efforts are underway to facilitate their relocation to their respective provinces, ensuring a smoother reintegration process.
