The Ministry of Public Works has announced a substantial rise in goods transported via the Khaf-Herat railway lines, with over 103,000 tons moved between July 10 and 16. Specifically, 103,466 tons of goods, including oil, non-oil items, and various materials, were reported at the ports of Hairatan, Aqineh, and Turghandi.
In addition to these imports, the export sector also showed positive growth, with 193 tons of commercial goods, such as dried fruits and pomegranate juice, exported during the same period. This marks a significant increase from the 77,029 tons transported via rail the previous week.
The Ministry emphasized that the rising volume of transfers and exports not only creates job opportunities but also boosts national revenues and paves the way for economic stability and self-reliance.
