Around 1,000 people will get work opportunities and hundreds of families benefit from 38 development projects lunched in southwestern Nimroz province, officials said on Tuesday.
Governor Eng. Mohammad Sami told Pajhwok Afghan News the projects would help generate job opportunities for youth. He termed the role people in such projects vital and asked them to cooperate with the government.
Eng. Farid Azeem, head of the Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department (RRDD), said the uplift projects were being implemented under the Nation Citizenship Charter, which would bring drastic change to the lives of people.
He added the 50 million Afghanis projects included solar energy systems, digging of water wells and other welfare programs.
Mohammad Arif, a resident of Chahar Burjak district, believed if the projects were implemented effectively, drastic change would come about in the lives of the people.
