Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, Director General of the Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority , urged for the continuation and expansion of Japan’s cooperation and assistance in the country.
The meeting occurred with Takayoshi KuroMiya, Japan’s Envoy to Afghanistan, who expressed condolences over the recent earthquakes that have impacted many Afghan families.
During their discussions, KuroMiya highlighted Japan’s longstanding friendship with the Afghan people, recalling previous aid efforts and reiterating Japan’s commitment to providing further assistance.
Turabi expressed appreciation for Japan’s ongoing support, particularly for the victims of the recent natural disasters. He took the opportunity to outline the achievements and challenges faced by the National Disaster Management Authority, emphasizing the dire humanitarian situation in Afghanistan.
The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment from both sides to enhance bilateral relations and strengthen cooperative efforts. Turabi affirmed that Japan’s historical contributions to humanitarian support in Afghanistan should not only continue but also expand to meet the pressing needs of the Afghan population.
