The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum held a tender meeting for the sale of lead and zinc from Kandahar province.
According to the ministry’s press office, the meeting was organized for the sale of 1,460.64 tons of lead and zinc ore, the ministry’s share from the Bibi Gohar area in Khakrez district, Kandahar province.
The meeting was attended by Mullah Abdul Rahman Rahmani, Director General of Cadastre, Engineer Gul Mohammad Burhan, Director of Small Mines Contract Implementation, the appointed committee, and bidding companies.
During the meeting, the Director General of Cadastre and Mineral Regulation provided detailed information to the participants about the transparency of the process and the lead and zinc mines in the province. Among the participants, Shir Ahmad was declared the winner of the tender, offering a price of 27,000 Afghanis per ton for the 1,460.64 tons of lead and zinc from the Bibi Gohar area in Khakrez district.
