Authorities in Khost province have announced plans to build a new entrance gate to the city at a cost of 7 million Afghanis ($90,000).
The Khost Municipality said the structure will be built along the Khost-Paktia highway, near the city’s industrial park. The planned 40-meter-long, 12.4-meter-high, three-story gateway is expected to enhance the city’s appearance and serve as a symbolic landmark for visitors and travelers.
Local officials say the project aims to reflect the city’s cultural and economic significance, while also contributing to urban development efforts.
