The US Special Adviser for Afghanistan Reconciliation Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad met with the First Vice President Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum.
The Office of the First Vice President in a statement said the two sides held talks regarding the current political and security situation of the country, parliamentary, and upcoming presidential elections.
Gen. Dostum has said the prominent political parties and figures like Abdul Satar Sirat should also be included in the peace process, emphasizing that Sirat is a prominent trusted personality on international level and has a special place among the Afghans.
Two sides also held talks regarding the parliamentary elections and emphasized that fake votes should be separated from the genuine votes.
According to the Office of the First Vice President, the two sides also emphasized that the presidential elections should be organized in a transparent manner so that the next government would be acceptable to the people and political parties.
