Former president Hamid Karzai on Sunday called on the Afghan warning parties to stop the ongoing conflict and be aware of aliens’ conspiracies to continue the war in Afghanistan.
A statement from Karzai media’s office received by Pajhwok Afghan News said unfortunately once again the people of Kunduz suffered life and financial losses due to yesterday night attack.
Taliban militants stormed Kunduz City from the directions of Khanabad Port, Charkh Ab, Imam Sahib Port, She Darak, Zarkharid and 3rd police district at 1pm on Friday night.
The ex-president Karzai added: “While the ongoing peace talks have reached a critical stage, the Afghan people are eagerly awaiting the end of the war and bloodshed and peace building in the country. But foreign hands are trying to ignite war and continue bloodshed in our country to achieve their evil goals. “
The statement further said Karzai again called on the warning parties to announce ceasefire and be aware of foreigners’ conspiracy that only wanted continuation of war in the war-torn country.
As result of yesterday Kunduz attack, 27 military personnel and civilians were killed and another 114 wounded.
