The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has welcomed the Pakistani government’s decision to upgrade its diplomatic mission in Kabul to the level of a full ambassadorship.
In a post on its official Facebook page, the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs commended Pakistan’s move, stating that it would strengthen bilateral relations.
Sources added that Afghanistan would reciprocate by raising the status of its embassy in Islamabad from a chargé d’affaires to full ambassadorial level.
The Foreign Ministry further emphasized that enhancing diplomatic ties between Afghanistan and Pakistan would expand cooperation in multiple sectors.
