The Ministry of Interior says that no security issues were reported over Eid al-Adha and that the people of Afghanistan were able to celebrate in a secure and safe environment.
Abdul Mateen Qani, the interior ministry’s spokesman, said on X that police forces, in coordination and close cooperation with other security institutions, were able to provide security over the past four days across the country which allowed people to participate in religious ceremonies of Eid.
Qani added that this success was the result of accurate and effective security planning, round-the-clock efforts of the security forces and the cooperation of the people of Afghanistan.
The ministry also appreciated the efforts of the security forces and the cooperation of the people.
