The current administration in Afghanistan has announced that a large commercial shipment has arrived in Balkh province via the railway line from Beijing, China.

According to the report from local media outlets on Tuesday, this significant shipment has reached Balkh through the road route from Uzbekistan.

According to the report, this commercial shipment comprises 22 containers containing various vehicle parts, especially motors, imported from China to Afghanistan.

It is worth noting that this quantity of goods has reached Balkh through the shared economic corridor between China, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Afghanistan.

Bakht ul-Rahman Sharafat, the head of the railway, has also stated to the media upon the arrival of this commercial shipment that economic relations between Afghanistan and other countries are of great importance, and the economic development of Afghanistan is interconnected with the region.

Previously, the railway authority of the interim government had announced, “With the implementation of this economic corridor, the commercial goods that used to take two months to reach Afghanistan from China by trucks will now reach Afghanistan in two weeks through the railway.”

Furthermore, 42 containers of commercial goods had also arrived in Afghanistan from China.

It is worth mentioning that the economic corridor agreement between Afghanistan and China was signed last year.
