A helicopter carrying Afghan soldiers has been hit by a rocket in Afghanistan’s southern Helmand province, an official said.
Four army soldiers were wounded in the attack which happened as the helicopter was on the ground in Kajaki district, said Omar Zwak, a spokesman for provincial governor.
A source said that the helicopter was supplying local soldiers and that it was hit by rocket while landing.
Defense Ministry in a statement said that the Mi-17 military helicopter made emergency landing due to technical issues, adding there were no casualties.
