President Ashraf Ghani says his government is ready to establish a special chamber of transportation to facilitate better transport services in the country.
Speaking to representatives of some transportation companies in Arg, the presidential palace, Ghani said members of the chamber should be elected and have the chance to participate in meetings of High Economic Council.
A statement from Arg said that President Ghani, after listening to the problems faced by transportation firms, stressed on the implementation of transportation law, calling on the representatives to pay heed to maintenance of the roads.
According to the statement, President warned that those violate regulations and overload their vehicles would be dealt with in light of the laws.
Ghani added that the plan to build terminals in different parts of the country has already been drawn, promising it would be executed after some consultations with people and transporters.
