The 12th Global Video Media Forum officially opened on Tuesday in Quanzhou City, located in southeast China’s Fujian Province. The event brought together nearly 200 representatives from 87 media organizations across more than 60 countries and regions to discuss the transformative role of video media in cultural exchanges and the integration of artificial intelligence in media production.
Key topics on the forum’s agenda included poverty reduction, agricultural modernization, green initiatives, and sustainability. These discussions emphasized the crucial role media can play in addressing global challenges, particularly in the Global South.
One of the highlights of the opening ceremony was the launch of a joint initiative to enhance media cooperation among countries of the Global South.
