President Ghani met separately with Pakistan President Arif Alvi and Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu Vice President of India at the 18th Summit of the Heads of State and Governments of the Non-Aligned Movement and discussed peace and bilateral relations, the president’s office said Saturday.
With President Alvi, Ghani discussed counter-terrorism efforts, security and peace. The Afghan people want Pakistan involved in the peace process, said Ghani at that meeting.
Along with peace, Ghani discussed bilateral ties and boosting economic cooperation when he met with Venkaiah Naidu, Vice President of India. Both emphasized the need for continued cooperation between India and Afghanistan, read the statement.
