President Ashraf Ghani arrived in Farah province Saturday morning, the Presidential Palace said in a statement.
Ghani will observe relief operation and humanitarian assistance to families who have suffered from recent flash floods in the province, read the statement.
According to the statement, the President will also meet various groups of locals and officials in Farah.
This coms after President Ashraf Ghani last week on Wednesday visited Kunar province, in the east of Afghanistan, where he inaugurated work a number of development projects, but some activists from the province said the projects were already inaugurated by local officials.
The projects inaugurated by the president value AFs77 million, according to local officials.
Ghani held talks with local officials and some residents of the province but a public gathering was not held.
According to a Kunar activist, work on Kunar University’s dormitory and a 20-bed hospital in the province was already inaugurated by local officials, but according to him, they were once again inaugurated by Ghani.
The Presidential Palace has not commented on the allegations.
