Mawlavi Neda Mohammad Nadeem, Minister of Higher Education, officially laid the foundation stone for a new medical university and faculty hospital complex in Badakhshan during a ceremony on Tuesday.
During the event, Ministry Nadeem mentioned the recent achievements of the Islamic Emirate and emphasized the importance of conducting development projects in remote areas. He stated, “The cadre hospital in this province is a response to the real needs of the people, and we are committed to serving without discrimination throughout the country.”
Mawlavi Mohammad Ayoob Khalid, the governor of Badakhshan, praised the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan as a progressive system, distancing it from empty slogans. He underscored the importance of the new medical facilities for the region.
Mawlavi Nazar Mohammad Niazi, president of Badakhshan University, remarked that the establishment of a medical university has been a long-standing demand of the local population.
The project will include the construction of a medical building, staff hospital, and administrative and teaching facilities, with an estimated budget of 260 million Afs funded by the Ministry of Higher Education.
