Five trade and investment deals signed during Uzbek PM’s visit to Kabul

Five trade and investment agreements were signed between Kabul and Tashkent during the visit of Uzbekistan’s prime minister to Kabul on Saturday, officials said.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce said in a statement that the agreements were signed to strengthen economic relations between the ministries of mines, agriculture and finance of the Islamic Emirate and the relevant ministries of Uzbekistan.

During the signing ceremony of the agreements in Arg, the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov emphasized on supporting Afghanistan in international forums and said that his country is ready to cooperate with Afghanistan, and the opinion of the President of Uzbekistan is that progress is not possible without engagement with the Islamic Emirate.

In the ceremony, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the economic deputy of the prime minister of IEA, was also present.
