Afghanistan’s National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) has collected and analyzed data on export and import volumes in the 11th month (February) of the current solar year and recorded exports at $134.1 million and imports at $793.5 million.
For exports, this is a $42.6 million drop against the same period last year which stood at $176.7 million.
The import volume was however less for the 11th month of last solar year – standing at $694.6 million. This was a $98.9 million increase this year.
For both 1402 and 1401, the bigger portion of exports went to Pakistan, India and the United Arab Emirates.
Imports this year and last year came mostly from Iran, China and Pakistan.
