Ex-CEO backs team for peace talks with Taliban

The establishment of an inclusive negotiating team is an important step to facilitate intra-Afghan peace dialogue, the former chief executive officer (CEO) says.
Although the political crisis was yet to be resolved, Dr. Abdullah promised he would not allow differences between him and President Ashraf Ghani to harm the cause of peace.
In a post on his Facebook account, Abdullah said questions about the composition of the negotiating team were understandable. There should be greater representation when talks began, he believed.
The government announced a 21-member team for peace talks with the Taliban last week. However, the militant movement refused to talk to the delegation.
