Eidul Adha will be celebrated on August 21, the Saudi government announced on Sunday, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Sunday.
Dhu Al-Hijjah is the twelfth month of the Islamic calendar, during which the Hajj pilgrimage is performed. The ritual is followed by Eid.
The Saudi Supreme Court (SC) called on all Muslims in the Kingdom to sight the moon with the naked eye or through binoculars and inform the nearest court if they see it.
The total number of pilgrims, who have arrived in the kingdom on Friday, is more than 1,221,463 –an increase of 70,348 pilgrims compared to last year’s Hajj season.
