Dostum’s return delayed for few days

The return of First Vice-President Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum from Turkey has been delayed for a few days, a government official revealed on Sunday.
Previously, Gen. Dostum was expected to return home on July 16 from Ankara, where 2nd Vice-President Sarwar Danish had met him last week.
But a credible government source confided to Pajhwok Afghan News that talks were still ongoing with Dostum, but a final decision in this regard was yet to be taken.
The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, hoped the Uzbek strongman would come home soon if the negotiations conclude on a positive note.
A government delegation was working on the issue, the official said. President Ghani also said on Sunday that Mr. Dostum’s return is highly likely.
