Afghanistan and Oman are set to launch direct flights between Kabul and Muscat. This initiative comes as a result of discussions held by Afghanistan’s Transport and Civil Aviation Minister, Mullah Hamidullah Akhundzada, with his Omani counterpart, Saeed bin Hamoud al-Mawli, and Oman Civil Aviation Director Nayef bin Ali Al-Omari.
According to a statement from Afghanistan’s Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, the meetings led to a comprehensive agreement aimed at enhancing aviation and transport cooperation between the two countries. The introduction of these direct flights is seen as a crucial step in expanding air connectivity and strengthening bilateral ties.
Furthermore, the Omani Minister of Transport has expressed a commitment to enhancing land transport cooperation, which will contribute to the overall improvement of transport ties between Afghanistan and Oman.
