Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, led a delegation to Nimroz province to evaluate the situation of Afghan returnees and held discussions with the provincial governor.
According to the governor’s spokesperson, Hanafi visited the Silk Bridge border crossing to directly assess the circumstances facing Afghans returning from Iran. During his meeting with Governor Sheikh Mohammad Qasim Khalid, Hanafi reviewed the challenges encountered by returnees and discussed possible solutions.
At the conclusion of the visit, officials reached key decisions to provide essential facilities and comprehensive services for those arriving via the Silk Bridge.
This visit follows Hanafi’s recent participation, alongside senior cabinet members, in launching the construction of a new township for returnees on 6,000 jeribs of land in the Tarkha Dasht area of Zendejan district, Herat province.
