Deputy Minister of Public Works Engages in Key Railway Cooperation Talks with Uzbekistan

Mawlavi Mohammad Ishaq Sahibzada, the Deputy Minister of Public Works of Afghanistan, visited Uzbekistan at the official invitation of the Uzbek government.

On the first day of his visit, Deputy Minister Sahibzada held fruitful discussions with key officials from Uzbekistan Railways, including Director Nurzulov Zafarghiasevich and Deputy Director Hekmatullah Rahmatov.

The Islamic Emirate delegation expressed appreciation for Uzbekistan’s ongoing support in railway cooperation. The talks focused on enhancing trade and exports via the Hairatan-Mazar-e-Sharif railway line, a crucial conduit for economic exchange.

In addition, the Deputy Minister met with Uzbekistan’s Minister of Transport, Ilham Mukhamedov, where both sides explored the implementation of the Afghan-Trans project and emphasized the need for swift coordination in launching practical work.
