Da Afghan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) has officially signed joint contracts valued at nearly $41 million with two domestic firms, ZAZU Afghanistan and Kabul Milli, to enhance electricity stability in Herat province.
The agreements were finalized by Abdul Bari Omar, CEO of DABS, in a ceremony attended by officials from both companies.
The projects outlined in the contracts include:Transmission of 220-kilovolt power lines from the Noor al-Jihad substation to Pul Hashemi, and from Pul Hashemi to the 24th Hoot Martyrs substation.Construction of new substations at Pul Hashemi and the 24th Hoot Martyrs.Expansion of the second line at the Noor al-Jihad substation.
The projects are expected to be completed within the next two years, aiming to provide Herat province with reliable and sustainable electricity.
