Russian government has provided medicines and equipment to Afghanistan to help support fight against coronavirus in the country, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said on Tuesday.
The humanitarian aid was handed over to the Ministry of Public Health today (Tuesday) in the presence of Russian ambassador to Afghanistan, Foreign Ministry’s Economic Cooperation Deputy Head Mirwais Naab, the statement said.
Naab hailed continued Russian support to Afghanistan and the latest humanitarian aid in fight against coronavirus with Afghanistan and hoped for greater cooperation between the two countries.
The Russian envoy assured Moscow continued support to Afghanistan.
More details regarding the assistance provided by Russian was not shared.
It is worth mentioning that earlier, China, India, Iran, UAE, Saudi Arabi and some other countries provided medical assistance to Afghanistan in fight against coronavirus.
