Country’s Minister of Communications Attends CIS Summit in Uzbekistan

 Mawlavi Najibullah Hayat Haqqani, Afghanistan’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, represented the country at the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Summit hosted by Uzbekistan.

In his speech, Minister Haqqani addressed the current technological landscape in Afghanistan, highlighting the significance of fiber optic cable and its role in enhancing data transit and digital infrastructure. He emphasized the need for robust systems of control and supervision within the telecommunications sector.

Alexei Bordon, the Chief Executive of the Commonwealth, expressed full support for Afghanistan’s initiatives in these areas, promising cooperation to bolster regional connectivity and technological development.
