Construction of 40 MW Solar Power Plant Begins in Dehdadi

 A significant step towards sustainable energy has been taken with the launch of a 40 MW solar power project in the Dehdadi district of Balkh province. The construction commenced with an investment of $28 million, aimed at enhancing electricity access for local residents.

Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, the CEO of Da Afghan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) highlighted the initiative during the project’s inauguration, emphasizing the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s commitment to addressing community challenges through collaborative projects across various sectors.

The solar power plant will be developed on 500 jeribs of land and is expected to be completed within two years. on completion, the facility is projected to provide electricity to over 40,000 families, significantly improving the quality of life in the region.
