The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has prohibited the civilian and military officials of the ministry from visiting the embassy compounds in Kabul.
According to a statement released by MoI, the civilian and military officials of the ministry are not allowed to participate in the events and gatherings which are organized in the Embassy compounds, including events to mark national days, Independence Day, and dinner parties.
The statement further added that the violators would face strict actions in connection with the ‘attempts for espionage’.
This comes as the former Afghan intelligence Chief Amrullah Saleh recently assumed charge as the acting minister of interior and vowed to bring necessary reforms in the ministry.
Saleh had made the remarks during a ceremony which was organized on last Monday for his introduction as the acting Minister of Interior.
He had also added that the ministry of interior is a key governmental institution between the people and government, emphasizing that he would step up efforts to rehabilitate the image of the police forces and create an environment of hope among the people.
