Beijing has pledged to help Afghanistan with food items in near future, the Afghan ambassador to China says.
Javed Qaim wrote on his Facebook page he met Deng Boqing, the vice chairman of China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) on Friday.
The ambassador thanked Deng Boqing for China’s continued assistance to Afghanistan and called on him for new aid.
The food assistance was expected in the next two-month, said the diplomat who also sought aid from China in areas of agriculture, vocational training and energy.
Boqing had promised him China was ready to help Afghanistan in near future.
China’s Ambassador Wang Yu, at a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mirwais Nab, pledged Chinese assistance to the Afghan families hit by recent flash floods.
