Local officials from the Nuristan Department of Mines and Petroleum have announced a successful auction of precious and semi-precious beryl stones in the province.
Mawlavi Sayed ur-Rahim Omayr, the Director of the Department, reported that 183kgs of beryl stones were sold for a total of 222.7 million AFN, sourced from the Pachigram mines in the Bergmatal district.
Its Worth mentioning that from auction, 22.7 million AFN are expected to be deposited into the state treasury. This auction is said to be the scond successful auction of beryl stones in the province, following previous sales.
