China has promised boosting counter-terrorism cooperation with Afghanistan and supporting the country’s reconstruction campaign.
The promise was held out by Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang at a meeting with Afghan Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah in Dushanbe on Friday, according to Xinhua news agency.
Li Keqiang also vowed cooperation with Afghanistan, which he hailed as a good neighbor, on Afghan personnel training and promotion of trilateral cooperation among Beijing, Kabul and Islamabad.
His country would continue to play a constructive role in promoting political reconciliation in Afghanistan, the premier said, hoping the security situation would keep improving to create a stable environment for development.
For his part, Abdullah expressed Afghanistan readiness to step up cooperation with China in the fields of economy, trade, power generation, agricultural and counterterrorism.
