Bamyan Remains Top Tourist Destination with Rising Visitor Numbers

Over 200,000 tourists visited Bamyan’s historical and natural landmarks over the past year, local officials say.

According to Qari Sayed Mustafa Saleh, head of Bamiyan’s Department of Information and Culture, the visitors included 2,390 foreign tourists from countries such as China, Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States, Taiwan, Thailand, France, India, and Qatar.

Bamiyan, known for its rich history and stunning landscapes, continues to attract both domestic and international travelers. The province’s tourism sector remains a key economic driver, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.
