The Ministry of Commerce and Industry says a delegation from Azerbaijan headed by the Deputy Minister of Economy arrived in Kabul on Thursday morning and was welcomed by Ahmadullah Zahid, the Deputy Minister of Commerce and Industry.
According to the ministry, the delegation is in the country for a trilateral meeting between Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
The ministry said talks will focus on the development of various sectors in coordination with the two countries.
“In this meeting, about the development of trilateral economic and trade relations, the trilateral development of the transportation and logistics sector, conducting geological explorations of solid minerals in Afghanistan, conducting explorations in areas with a large capacity of minerals and hydrocarbon fields, and implementing the production project, production of cement in northern Afghanistan with a capacity of one million tons per year will be discussed,” the ministry said.
