The Afghan government denies allegations leveled against presidential palace about the systematic spread of depravity in Arg. Haroon Chakhansori, a spokesman to the President, said in a news briefing in Kabul on Sunday that the allegations by a former aide to President Ghani regarding sexual misconduct in the presidential palace were baseless, saying the remarks were made due to personal grudge the former aide holds against the government.

A former senior adviser to the President, general Habibullah, claimed that a specific circle in ARG, presidential palace, seek sexual favors in exchange for a governmental seat.

General Habibullah Ahmadzai has leveled the allegation during an exclusive interview with a local television network, Khurshid TV.

Ahmadzai went on to claim that widespread corruption exists inside presidential palace and certain individuals prevent others to serve the country.

He described the widespread corruption as the main motive behind his resignation from his position as senior presidential adviser.

However, the presidential spokesman said Ahmazai leveled the false allegations against Arg because of his failure in parliamentary elections.

Chakhansori challenged Ahmadzai and Maryam Wardak, a former employ of the National Security Council who confirmed Ahmadzai’s allegations in an interview, to prove their claims and share their evidence with the attorney general office for further investigations.

He said the presidential palace legal team had already begun probe into the allegations in cooperation from the attorney general office, promising that the findings would be shared with the public in due course.
