During a recent meeting with the Iranian Ambassador to Afghanistan, the Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock expressed that the primary aim of the ministry is to enhance cooperation with the private sector and develop trade ties.
Mawlavi Ataullah Omari and Ali Reza Bekdali discussed the importance of strengthening ties in agriculture, livestock, trade, and private sector collaboration between Afghanistan and Iran.
“Our mission is to ensure the provision of healthy food for our people. A key objective of our cooperation, particularly with the private sector, is to cultivate trade relations and put existing agreements into action,” stated the Agriculture Minister.
Iran Ambassador Bekdali to Kabul emphasized that agreements will be monitored and executed in accordance with a structured plan and timeline, fostering strong agricultural and livestock connections between the two nations.
Additionally, Bekdali extended an invitation to Afghanistan to participate in the upcoming OECD meeting in Tehran, which will gather agriculture ministers from member countries.
