Afghanistan’s Foreign Ministry said that they summoned Pakistan’s ambassador to Kabul Mansoor Ahmad Khan after Pakistani aircraft conducted airstrikes in Khost and Kunar provinces.
The Ministry in a press release said that Khan was summoned on Saturday afternoon. Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi and Deputy Defense Minister Alhaj Mullah Sherin Akhund attended the objection gathering.
The press release reads the Afghan officials condemned the bombards and asked for the prevention of such strikes in the future.
“All military encroachments including those in Kunar and Khost provinces must be prevented as acts as such will deteriorate bilateral relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Deterioration of relations will have dire consequences.” Said Muttaqi.
Afghan ambassador also handed over an objection letter to Pakistan’s ambassador to pass it over to Pakistan’s leadership.
Pakistan’s aircrafts carried out airstrikes in Khost and Kunar provinces killing over 40 people in the provinces.
