A three-day expo showcasing products from Uzbekistan officially opened in Kabul on Sunday during a high-level visit of Uzbek officials to Afghanistan.
The event, which is being held at the Afghanistan International Exhibition Center, was inaugurated by the deputy prime minister for economic affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar and Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdullah Aripov.
The expo features a diverse array of Uzbek products, including vehicles, fire trucks, tractors, buses, and a variety of industrial goods.
This comes after Saturday’s signing of 35 MoUs between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan totalling $2.5 billion.
These agreements encompass 12 investment deals valued at $1.4 billion and 23 commercial agreements worth $1.1 billion, indicating a significant boost in bilateral cooperation and economic ties.
