A joint trade Chamber aimed at strengthening trade ties between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan was inaugurated in Mazar-e-Sharif, Balkh province. The inauguration marks a significant step in enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries.
Asadullah Asadi, head of the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment, emphasized the importance of this joint trade house for promoting trade activities. He highlighted the arrival of a delegation of 100 Uzbek businessmen who are in Balkh to explore various business opportunities.
Asadi noted that the delegation’s visit aims to facilitate exports and imports, assuring that the Islamic Emirate system supports local businessmen and industrialists. He also mentioned that the Department of Industry and Trade is actively working to address challenges and provide necessary support for traders.
Mustafa Momand, head of the Mazar Hotel commercial center, welcomed the establishment of the joint trade house, calling it crucial for fostering economic ties between Afghan and Uzbek entrepreneurs.
Additionally, Yarkin Malekov, head of Uzbekistan’s exporters and a member of the visiting delegation, announced the launch of a permanent exhibition showcasing Uzbek products in sectors such as food, medicine, and electrical appliances. He urged both governments to implement measures that simplify customs and visa processes for businessmen, further enhancing trade facilitation.
