During his visit to the United Arab Emirates, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with UAE’s Minister of Economy, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, to discuss key economic issues.
In a statement released by the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Al-Marri warmly welcomed the Afghanistan delegation and shared insights into the current economic landscape of the UAE. He expressed a strong interest in enhancing trade ties between Afghanistan and the UAE.
During the meeting, Minister Muttaqi provided an overview of Afghanistan’s economic situation, highlighting available investment opportunities and areas for trade collaboration. The discussions spanned a wide range of topics, including, Mining, Agricultural mechanization, Marketing of agricultural products, Trade facilitation, Expansion of trade and transit routes, and Transfer of Afghan workers to the UAE.
Both ministers agreed to appoint technical teams to ensure effective implementation of the discussed initiatives, aiming to further strengthen the economic ties between the two nations.
