Afghanistan asks Amazon to remove products disrespecting national flag

Afghanistan Embassy in Washington has told Amazon.com to remove products that are considered as disrespecting national flag of the country.
Toilet seat covers, underwear and other items emblazoned with national flags of Afghanistan are spotted on website of Amazon which is the world’s biggest online retailer.
In a statement on Sunday, Afghanistan Embassy in Washington condemned the companies supplying such products as “insulting,” adding it asked Amazon to remove such products from its websites. It also asked the retailer to remove companies supplying the products from its sellers list.
While calling the companies’ act as their individual act, Amazon promised that it would immediately take step and stop advertising the objectionable products, according to the statement.
The statement said that Amazon removed the objectionable products from its website, but they could still be seen on Monday.
