Afghan MMA Fighter Defeats Russian Rival

Afghan mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Hussain Bakhsh Safari defeated his Russian rival Peter Berg in a fight on Saturday.

The two are in the 65 kg weight class, and fought inside a cage in Moscow.

Safari won all three rounds and with high scores.

The 21-year-old Safari is an MMA fighter and Ju-Jitsu practictioner.

President Ashraf Ghani and CE Abdullah Abdullah on social media have congratulated him for his victory.

Hussain Bakhsh Safari won the first gold medal inJu-Jitsu at the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) in Turkmenistan back in September 2017.
