A consortium of Afghan and Iranian businessmen has officially announced plans to establish a tractor factory in Afghanistan, a move that is expected to significantly advance the mechanization of agriculture in the country.
This initiative was discussed in a recent meeting with Mawlavi Ataullah Omari, the acting Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation.
During the meeting, the consortium representatives expressed their commitment to the project and requested the Ministry’s cooperation to assist facilitate its implementation.
The acting minister welcomed the proposal, emphasizing the need for practical steps to bring the project to fruition.
