Afghan ex-president meets Japanese ambassador to Kabul

Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai met on Monday with Takayoshi Kuromiya, the Japanese ambassador to Afghanistan.

In this meeting, Karzai stressed the need for strengthening good relations between Kabul and Tokyo and expressed his gratitude for the cooperation of Japan with the people of Afghanistan, especially in the field of education for girls and boys.

According to Karzai’s X page, he still considers national understanding to be the only solution to ensure lasting peace and stability in the country and stressed that it should start soon.
