A New Conspiracy of Pashtun Genocide in Tribal Areas

We strongly condemn the ongoing series of repeated military operations by the Pakistani army in the tribal areas and consider it a conspiracy for the genocide of Pashtuns. This is a clear example of human rights violations, causing severe harm to the local Pashtun communities and endangering their lives and livelihoods.

The Pakistani army and high-ranking officials have agreed to once again carry out military operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the name “Azm-e-Istihkam,” supposedly to combat terrorism. These operations, which ostensibly aim to eradicate terrorism, in reality, disrupt the lives of Pashtuns in the region and endanger the lives of innocent civilians. Thousands of Pashtuns have been killed and displaced in previous attacks, with many still unable to return to their villages, some of whom remain in Afghanistan, unable to return home with confidence.

The Pakistani army attacks Pashtun areas under the guise of combating terrorism and to obtain dollar aid, while numerous terrorist nests exist in southern Punjab. This policy not only fails to uproot terrorism but also shows that the Pakistani government is not interested in bringing stability to the region but is only pursuing its interests. As this situation continues, innocent Pashtun lives are lost, and their local communities are on the brink of destruction.

In addition to military operations, Pakistani intelligence agencies have also extensively targeted Pashtun tribal leaders and young political activists. A notable example of this series is the terrorist attack on PTM member Gilaman Wazir, who is still on the brink of life and death. These incidents show that the Pakistani government wants to silence the voices of Pashtun leaders and activists to prevent their demands for rights and justice.

We call on the international community to stop supporting a country that has a major role in creating terrorist groups and destabilizing the entire region. The Pakistani government, which systematically violates Pashtun rights, should be condemned by the international community and pressured to bring peace and stability to the region.

We clearly state to the Pakistani government that instead of conducting operations in the tribal areas, it should review its failed sinister policies and cease its hostility towards Afghans, avoiding the repetition of failed experiences. The current state of the region demands that the lives and rights of Pashtuns be respected and genuinely effective steps be taken against terrorism, rather than continuing the destruction of Pashtun lives and properties.

Finally, our message to the Pakistani government is to stop playing with Pashtun lives under the pretext of fighting terrorism and respect human rights. The international community must respond to this situation and take necessary actions to protect Pashtun rights.
