Iran has pledged to cooperate with Afghanistan in rehabilitating the country’s silos, as well as in the agricultural sector.
Gholam-Reza Noori, Iran’s Minister of Agriculture, made the commitment during a meeting with Mawlavi Ahmad Jan Bilal, Director General of the State-Owned Corporations, and expressed his country’s readiness to cooperate with Afghanistan in importing agricultural machinery.
According to a statement issued by the General Directorate of State-Owned Corporations, Mawlavi Ahmad Jan Bilal, during his official visit to Iran, met with Gholam-Reza Noori to discuss expanding cooperation in various agricultural fields, exchanging experiences, and further strengthening relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, Gholam-Reza Noori announced Iran’s readiness to cooperate with Afghanistan in importing agricultural equipment and machinery, improved seeds, poultry feed, and day-old chicks.
He also pledged to cooperate in rehabilitating Afghanistan’s silos and, if needed, constructing new ones.
Meanwhile, Mawlavi Ahmad Jan Bilal emphasized joint efforts and coordination to implement bilateral cooperation, strengthen the agricultural sector, and expand economic and trade relations between the two countries.
The General Directorate of State-Owned Corporations said that during the meeting, Mawlavi Bilal will continue meeting with officials and representatives of various development and economic institutions in Iran with the aim of expanding bilateral cooperation.
