Twelve development projects worth a total of 37.23 million AFN have been completed and put into operation in the Bak and Zazi Maidan districts of Khost Province.
Mawlavi Raihanullah Sinan, Deputy Director of Rural Rehabilitation and Development in Khost, told Bakhtar News Agency that the projects include water supply canals, check dams, karezes, and retaining walls.
According to him, the implementation of the projects created direct and indirect job opportunities for approximately 15,000 people.
He added that the projects were completed under the direct supervision of the Khost Directorate of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, with financial support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and are expected to play an effective role in improving the lives of residents in Bak and Zazi Maidan districts and promoting agricultural activities.
