Mawlavi Salamat Khan Bilal, Head of Industry and Commerce in Laghman Province, said that the granite processing factory was established by a private investor with an investment of one million US dollars, directly creating employment opportunities for 30 young people.
Rizwanullah, the factory manager, said that raw granite stones are processed at the facility and transformed into various decorative and construction materials. He added that, after packaging, the processed stones are used in buildings, flooring, kitchens, and other construction applications.
He added that the factory’s raw materials are sourced from various areas of Laghman Province and processed at the facility. However, due to limited electricity supply, the factory’s production capacity and processing output have not yet been fully determined.
