Mawlavi Mohammad Shafiq Khatib, Acting Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to Kuwait, discussed bilateral relations, mutual cooperation, and challenges facing Afghan residents in Kuwait, particularly the facilitation of Umrah visas, with Ahmad bin Saleh Al-Shehri, Deputy Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Kuwait.
During the meeting, Mawlavi Mohammad Shafiq Khatib briefed his counterpart on Afghanistan’s overall situation, the establishment of nationwide security, and recent developments across various sectors. He also expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s continued cooperation and assistance to Afghanistan.
He further called for greater attention to the concerns and needs of Afghans residing in Kuwait and stressed the importance of facilitating the issuance of Umrah visas for Afghan citizens.
Ahmad bin Saleh Al-Shehri welcomed the meeting, emphasizing the importance of strengthening friendly relations between the two countries and expressing hope that bilateral cooperation in various fields would continue to expand.
